SMU Day
A special day devoted to Southern Methodist University was declared in Ennis on Nov. 23, 1938. Among events marking the occasion, the SMU journalism department had a hand in publishing the Ennis Daily News as part of a class project and SMU Mustangs Coach Matty Bell addressed the Lions Club.
