Free, mobile Covid-19 testing on May 2

In coordination with the State of Texas, Ellis County will be hosting a free, one day mobile coronavirus testing location. All tests administered are by appointment only, due to limited testing units. Eligible residents will drive to the testing location upon the time of the scheduled appointment and be notified by phone of the results. The online site begins at 8:00 a.m. on May 1.

This information is on the Ellis County Facebook page. Citizens are encouraged to spread the information. Due to limited testing units the mobile testing location is by appointment only. It is expected to fill time slots quickly.

The location is from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at the Waxahachie Sports Complex, 151 Broadhead Road near I-287 in Waxahachie.

To be eligible for testing, you must have one or more symptoms of COVID-19:

o Fever and/or chills

o Cough (dry or productive)

o Fatigue

o Body aches/muscle or joint pain, or shortness of breath

o Sore throat

o Headaches

o Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea

o Nasal congestion

o Loss of taste and/or smell
