A pair of time capsules placed at Ennis’ Pierce Park has been the subject of some discussion among local city leaders and historians recently.
Ennis City Manager Marty Nelson contacted a group of interested individuals last week about information he received about the park in downtown Ennis, named for Dooney Pierce who lost his life in the World War II Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945.
