Retired teachers in Texas are urging residents to pass Proposition 9 in November. While the money has been set aside by Texas Legislature from surplus funds, it will not require a tax increase. The amount per teacher, per month, is not large, roughly $100 for many, it will be a welcomed relief in the current economy.
