Ennis Fire Department officials announced the purchase of a new fire truck, a 2021 Pierce Velocity, which will arrive sometime in January.
According to new Fire Chief Bill Evans, it comes with a rear, roof mounted 105-foot ladder. “It allows us to reach any building in town,” he said, “in fact, being taller than any place in town, it should serve us well.”
