The founder of the first daily newspaper in Ennis was Will C. Perry who turned 90 in 1956, at which time he was interviewed by various newspapers across the state. The paper he edited here was the Ennis Saturday Review but competition from the Ennis Daily News, when it opened in 1891, soon put him out of business.
