Averett stepping away from education
Former high school principal at Ennis and Waxahachie, Dr. David Averett, has announced his retirement from public education. In a message sent to the Waxahachie Independent School District staff, where he had been Assistant Superintendent, he informed readers his new role would be with the City of Waxahachie.
