Demascus Road Fellowship Al-Anon meetings

Golfing with Vets

The Ellis County Marine Corp League is hosting “Golf with Veterans.” All veterans are welcome to attend. This will be a monthly event held at the Waxahachie Country Club on the second Thursday of every month. Tee off starts at 0830. Price is $30 and includes lunch. Picnic With a Park Ranger

U.S. Army Corps at Bardwell Lake will host Picnic With a Park Ranger: Fish of Bardwell, on Saturday, July 20 at 12:30 p.m. at High View Park, 262 High View Park Rd., Ennis.

Bring your lunch (and water) and come spend an hour with Park Ranger Stephanie at Bardwell Lake. Ranger Stephanie will talk about various parts of Bardwell, as well as general history and fun facts about creatures you can see at the lake. Free for campers or $5 per car for a day pass to enter the park.Special group events can be done upon request. For more information, call 972-875-5711 x1016.

Naturalist

Registration is now open for the annual Master NaturalistTraining Class of the Indian Trail Chapter, serving Ellis and Navarro Counties. Training inclides weekly classes in Waxahachie on Tuesday nights, Aug. 20 - Nov. 12, 2019, and three Saturday field trips.

NARFE to Hold Monthly Meeting

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE), Chapter 1191, will hold its monthly meeting in Waxahachie at the Asian King Buffet, 507 N. Hwy 77, Suite 950, in the Northgate Shopping Center, across from Osuba Restaurant and Whataburger, on Tues., July 9, 2019, from 11 a.m until 1 p.m. The guest speaker will be Lee Calvert who will talk about the bee keeping business.

NARFE Chapter 1191 has members from Ellis, Navarro and surrounding counties. Members, guests, and all who are part of our federal active and retired family are invited.
