Shortly after I said, “I do,” I realized a noticeable shortcoming in the marriage vows. There was no mention of how to react when the husband didn’t come home in a reasonable time frame after a fishing trip.
Maybe that falls under “for better or for worse,” which I now know is an action-packed, five-word phrase which rears its ugly head more than anyone who is married wants to admit.
