Early Ennis writer

One of the earliest known female journalists in Ennis was Cora Frochlich Winter who worked as a reporter and columnist from the 1910s until her retirement in 1930. Mrs. Winter had been an Ennis resident since 1911. She also taught music and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She died in Waco in 1967 at the age of 90.
