I read with interest the story that ran in the Ennis News on March 7, “The night my house burned.” I was speaking with Ginger Boon about a family I’m researching when she mentioned that a really nice woman named May Deitrich used to come each month to pick up the rent. I am amazed that she remembered the name when it was so long ago that she had lived at the house at 408 N. Dallas St.
