A stellar freshman year at Ferris High School didn’t end until Arieanna Jefferson earned second place in the Class 4A triplejump at the Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus.
Jefferson, also an All-District performer in volleyball, took flight to lead in the finals with a best hop-skip-and-jump of 39-feet-5-inches.
