A new trilogy may have wrought a fresh, aesthetic wave to the young playwright in Bill Rhoten. The first in his Greatest Generation series, a romantic comedy in My First Date, has the stage veteran feeling de novo. Either that, or reading over 80 plays sent to him in Theatre Rocks’ second annual national playwriting contest has sprung eternal youth on the silver-haired thespian.
