New SAGU Head Coach Greg Ellis has named Brent Battle as offensive coordinator. A North Texas alum, Battle was the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator a year ago.
Ellis, a former defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, replaced Ryan Smith, who had served four years, including a best-ever 9-3 record last season. Smith’s surprise resignation in late May, led to the hiring of Ellis.
