Ennis voters chose to renew the previous four-year Proposition A to tax local sales at the rate of .0025 to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets.
The small amount, 25 percent of a cent, enables the city to address roads with the most pressing needs, from filling potholes to leveling and resurfacing. Underground utilities are not included.
