An early morning, high-speed collision on U.S. 287 in Ennis claimed the life of one individual.
While the accident report was not complete at press deadline, Ennis Police Department Information Officer Roger Cole said a 45-year old male, driving at a high rate of speed, ran into and under the back of an 18-wheel truck during slow traffic. The driver of the tractor trailer did not suffer injuries.
