Ennis Varsity Cheer Team, combined with the Junior Varsity at the UIL Spirit State Championships, took 12th place in the state of Texas among Class 5A schools. It was their highest finish ever, topping 18th place in 2021 and 19th place the previous year (2020).
There were 77 teams competing in the Jan. 13-14 event held at the downtown Ft. Worth Convention Center.
