Girls softball has hit the field with their cleats digging onto their newly installed playing surface. A week of practices will turn to competitive action when they host a three-team, round robin of scrimmages slated at 10am on Saturday, Jan. 28, through 2pm.
The action will involve the Lady Lions facing Class 5A Saginaw, 20-13 last year, and Alvarado (4A), who posted a 21-7-1 record.
