Ennis Police is now without a respected career officer since Lieutenant Mike Hopson retired this month during a special ceremony at the Ennis Public Safety Facility at 1700 W. Lake Bardwell Drive. He was similarly honored on Tuesday, July 19, at City Hall.
Hopson, 59, joined the EPD in October of 1994. He began what would become a 39-year course in criminal justice.
