Ennis alum Jackson Gilkey, who earned back-to-back district MVP honors two years ago, was named the football player at (NCAA Division I) University of Texas at San Antonio with the highest grade point average. Gilkey, 6’3, 220, was rewarded as an All-Academic athlete.
