Ennis cheerleaders have always been hailed for their spirit and energy while cheering for Lions teams. Last week in Fort Worth, it was their own collective efforts that drew attention to themselves at the Class 5A UIL Spirit State Championships.
Their 30-member cheer team, competing against a field of 74 teams, earned an overall 10th place finish in the state, the best ever for Ennis High School.
