Joe Newman has been hired to serve as interim director of the Ennis Economic Development Corporation. A native of Ennis who also graduated from Ennis High School, Newman has an impressive acumen for the job as he has been in the EDC field since 1979.
He follows Jim Wehmeier, who left the post to accept an offer from the city of Princeton, Texas, 75 miles north of Ennis.
