Like an old Paul Simon classic, “Slip, Sliding Away,” the Ennis Lions footing was a bit slipshod headed into their April 25 finale at home against third-place Corsicana (18-6-1). A hardfought 4-2 road loss to the Tigers on Tuesday dropped Ennis (12-12-2) into a fourth place tie with Red Oak (1413). Both are 7-6 in District 15-5A.
