Campaigning for the Ennis area County Commissioner seat in Precinct 2 is Matthew Zajic. A lifelong local resident, the 30-year-old is a farmer and rancher.
Pronounced Zike, he is proud of his Czech heritage. The position he looks to win has been held since 2015 by former Ennis resident, Lane Grayson. He is one of four Republicans, and one of two from Ennis, seeking a win in the March 3 primaries.
