Anna Lee Lanicek Weaver

Anna Lee Lanicek Weaver, age 90, of Ennis, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, in Ennis. She was born August 1, 1930, to Wesley and Bessie (Trpak) Lanicek.

Anna Lee graduated from Bardwell High School. She married Johnny Jordan and they had 3 daughters. On November 21, 1983, she married Al Weaver and they were married until his death. Anna Lee retired from Ennis Business Forms in 1994 after 32 years of service. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, KJT, KJZT and the American Legion. She enjoyed gardening at the home place every spring and summer, where she would make homemade pickles for the family, visiting with the neighbors and making kolaches at the KJT every year for the Polka Festival.

Survivors include her daughters: Sue Thompson and husband Donald, Debbie Brewer and Donna Thomas and husband Bill; grandsons: Jeremy Thompson and wife Hali and Ryan Thompson; great grandchildren: Lanie, Peyton, Addie, Bentley, Blakley and Luke; sisters: Helen Patak and husband Albert, Irene Vitovsky and husband Bill and Josephine Hickman; brother, Wesley Lanicek and wife Pauline; brothers-in-law: Ronald Coker, Charlie Weaver and wife Augusta and Leo Weaver and wife Judy.

Anna Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Bessie Lanicek; husband, Al Weaver; sister, Betty Jane Coker; two brothers-in-law, Johnnie Valek and Cordell Hickman.

Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. and visitation for family and friends followed until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.

Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at St. John Catholic Church with Father Agustin Fuertes Celebrant. Interment followed at the Saint Joseph Cemetery.
