Clayton Leon Lee

Clayton Leon Lee, 84, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2022. He was born on December 29, 1937, to Wilmer and Ben Lee of Bardwell, Texas. He married Linda Lee on June 20, 1970, and they made their home in Ennis. Leon cherished singing at his church and leading the music program as a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Leon was a husband, father, grand-pa, and a sincere friend to many. He believed in the power of prayer and prayed daily for his friends and family. While being a central figure in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He was a positive Christan influence for many while his witness was his music and the many ways he used to serve God.

After graduating from Bardwell High School in 1955 he served in the Army from 1960 to 1962. He worked for the City of Dallas as a computer programmer for 31 years until his retirement in 1988. For the next 10 years he worked for The Corps of Engineers at Lake Bardwell where he retired again in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Lee; parents, Wilmer and Ben Lee; brothers, Wayne Lee and Derl Lee. He is survived by his three sons: Ben and wife Melissa Lee, Chris Lee, Rusty and wife Katie Lee, and six grandchildren: Macey, Laker, Chloee, Chase, Colton and Zoee. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be given to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 1402, Ennis, Texas 75120.
