Dorothy Faye McCoy, 90, went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from Ennis, Texas.

Dorothy was born in Ennis, Texas on August 3, 1929 to Ed and Lillie Serine (Shaw) Christian. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1946. In 1952 she married Charles W. Treadaway and they made their home in Ennis.

Dorothy worked for Ennis Business Forms for over forty years as the Chief Clerk. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Rebecah Lodge in Ennis. Dorothy loved her family and they were the light of her life. She enjoyed scrap booking, sewing, quilting, arts and crafts and being out in God’s nature working in her yard and gardening.

Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her and her family will carry her memory closest to their hearts. Surviving Dorothy include her beloved son, Dr. Larry Treadaway and wife, Mendy; grandchildren: Tiffany Bergstrom and husband, Matthew, Briana Damrow and husband, Lt. Thomas Damrow and Logan Treadaway; great-granddaughter, Makenzie Grace Bergstrom and a host of extended family and friends.

Dorothy goes home to meet loved ones who have gone on including her parents, her husband, four brothers and one sister.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of her life was held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Todd Gray officiating and Tim Sparkman assisting with the services.

In lieu of flowers the family request that you consider a donation in Dorothy’s name to Tabernacle Baptist Church of Ennis.
