Gary Wayne Moses

Gary Moses, of Ennis, Texas, passed away on December 2, 2020. He was born June 5, 1950 to Tillman Moses and Hazel Northcutt at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas.

He is survived by wife, Mary Moses of Ennis, Tx and her son Marshall Adams of Dallas, Tx and daughter Jennifer Adams of Westchester County, NY; daughter, Annibell Monroe, grandson Marqus Monroe, granddaughter, Arabella Monroe, each of Ennis, Tx; mother, Hazel Hashop of Ennis, Tx, brothers Tillman “Don” Moses (Marion) of San Antonio, Tx, Phillip Moses (Scotty) of Dallas, Tx, and sister, Kristi Shaffer of San Antonio, Tx and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by father, brother Jan Moses and previous wife, Carol Moses and her son Nathan Hackney, survived by her daughter, Allison Morris of Leland, NC, son Kirk Hackney, Fort Mill, SC, and son Paul Hackney, San Diego, CA.

Upon graduating from Corsicana High School Class of 1968, Corsicana, Tx he enlisted in the United States Air Force and subsequently retired after a 20 year career at the rank of MSgt. Gary’s military service spanned the globe including Ching Chuan Kang Air Base, Taiwan; Clark Air Base, Philippines; Leipheim, Germany; various bases in Thailand during the Vietnam War, and various locations in the United States. After retirement Gary totally changed career trajectories and became a Registered Nurse through the nursing program at Navarro College, Corsicana, Tx. He worked as a traveling nurse across the United States, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Guam, before remaining in Ennis, Texas at the Ennis Regional Medical Center until his passing. A private family memorial service will be held.
