Georgie Zabojnik passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in Ennis, Texas. She was 93. Georgie was born May 21, 1927, in Ennis, Texas to Frank and Steffie Dolezalik. Her parents preceded her in death, her beloved husband of 69 years Frank, and her sister Helen Zmolek, and brother Frankie Dolezalik. Georgie loved her farm and gardening and enjoyed cooking. She held an unmatched passion for baking and could almost always be found in her favorite place, the kitchen. She treasured her family and was consistently the glue that bonded her family together. She was a lifetime member of Saint John Nepomucene Catholic Church and possessed a strong Catholic faith.

Georgie worked for a number of years at Sears in Dallas as a jewelry department supervisor. However, her true passion was always devotion to her family and farming. She was a member of the Altar Society for many years and served as president in the sixties during which time she illustrated the St. John’s Altar Society 1967-68 Cookbook. She also held office and was a lifetime member of the KJZT.

Her grandchildren were the center of her love—she would stop everything to fulfill their wishes. Her dedication and devotion to family was unparalleled and will continue to serve in filling their hearts and memories.

Georgie is survived by three daughters, Debbie Vitovsky and husband Tony, Kari Henderson and husband Ricky, Amy Hutyra and husband Matt. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Anne Ludwig and husband Chris, Sara Vitovsky, Matthew Dixon and wife Rachel, Nick Dixon and wife Haley, Matty Hutrya and Justin Hutyra. Surviving great-grandchildren include Ethan, Ryder, Gracie and Landry Ludwig, Kasen Dixon, Aubrey and Everleigh Dixon.

Her family would like to offer a very sincere thanks to all the staff at Legend Oaks, Ennis for the care provided for their mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis.

Rosary is scheduled for 9 a.m., on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Ennis. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m., at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father Agustin Fuertes as celebrant. Interment will be held following services at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis, Texas.
