Jake is survived in legacy by his wife Evelyn Smith Clifton, married August 15, 1953, in Nacogdoches County, Texas; his daughter, Belinda Clifton Richardson; his granddaughter, Chelsea Brooke Richardson and his great grandchildren Callie Brooke Richardson and Kasen DeWitt Jurcik; his brother, Ernest Preston Clifton and wife Leona and family; sisters in law Marilyn and Wanda and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. Jake volunteered December 1950 and served proudly in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was recognized, while working for Red Ball Motor Freight, for driving over a million miles with no accidents. His CB handle, “Wild Card”, was a testament of his fun personality.

A dying breed, putting family first, he is remembered mostly for how much he loved his family! The void of his BIG personality will be felt by family and friends and personal memories will be cherished a lifetime. ONE LIFE TOUCHING THE HEARTS OF SO MANY!
