Josephine Patak Grmela

Josephine Patak Grmela, 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, while surrounded by family.

Josie and her twin brother Joe Ben were born in Ennis, Texas, on March 5, 1937, to Joe Macalik and Christine Salik. She was also one of the most giving and constant caregivers and shared this gift unconditionally with her whole family and many friends. She married her first love, Wesley Patak, on July 27, 1955. They raised their family, children and grandchildren, for 47 years in Ennis, Texas until Wesley’s passing in June 2002. She was blessed with a second love, George Grmela, whom she married on June 21, 2008. She and George shared a home in Waxahachie, Texas where she continued to share her creativity and caring with her family, taking tremendous delight that it now included George’s children and grandchildren as well.
