Kenneth 'Kenny' Monreal

Kenneth “Kenny” Monreal, 52, of Ennis, Texas, passed away on March 25, 2021, in Ennis.

Kenny was born in Ennis to Margaret Valdez and Roy Monreal on May 26, 1968. He attended Ennis schools and played high school baseball and football before graduating in 1986. He dedicated most of his life to coaching/mentoring boys baseball before moving on to coaching all of his daughters in softball. He loved grilling and hanging out with his friends. He was a Texas Longhorn, Dallas Cowboy, and Texas Rangers fan. He married Luz Cervantes on August 20, 1988, in Ennis, Texas.

Kenny is preceded in death by his grandparents Inocencio and Eladia Valdez, Pedro and Maria Monreal.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Luz Monreal, daughters: Gabrielle and Nick Seaman; Morelia and Fiancé Richard Stammetti; Monica and Mia Monreal, and his one and only grandson Christopher Seaman. Parents: Mararget and Ines Aguiñaga, Roy Monreal. Siblings: Lisa Monreal, Rose and Ronnie Dlabaj, Nick and Esmeralda Monreal, Vanessa Monreal and Joe Gutierrez. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Ennis.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis, Texas.

Pallbearers: Dominic Pedraza, Ronnie Dlabaj, Terry Pritchett, Jason Martínez, Alex Valdez, Arthur Carrillo, Oscar Monreal, David Arriaga.

Honorary Pallbearers: Carlos Arriaga, Rudy(Bully)Carrillo, Adrian Carrillo, Hunter Dlabaj, Neeko Gutierrez, Luis Velasquez, Joey Vargas, Jordan Vargas, Jacob Vargas, and Jace Vargas.
