Mary Ann "Memaw" Felcman

Mary Ann Felcman who loved to be called “Memaw” by her grandkids and her great grandkids, departed her loving family here on Earth on March 27, 2021.

Memaw was born in Dallas, Texas, on August 15, 1930, to her adoptive parents Martha and John Jay.

Memaw was mother to Juliana and her late son Frank Jay Felcman III. She raised her children with love and devotion in Ennis, Texas, with her husband Frank Felcman Jr.

As a lifelong “employee,” of Felcman’s Men’s clothing store, Memaw was known for her smile and honest attitude – she never withheld what she was thinking. In 1996, Mary Ann and Julie started their venture in incorporating both ladies’ attire and boutique within the Felcman’s brand. Her hobbies included first and foremost, sitting at the 3-card poker table followed by decorating the windows at the store and keeping up with her family and friends. Memaw was always on the go, never wanting help from anyone and at the age of 90, could complete any crossword puzzle (only by checking the back for answers a few times).

She is survived by her daughter Juliana and husband Gary Gilmore of Ennis, Texas. Her daughter-in-law Cynthia Felcman Harris. Four fantastic grandchild Jayson and Crystal Felcman; Dustin and Rebecca Felcman; Lindsay and Kris Hobbs; Kacey and Mario Vasquez Jr. Many great-grandchildren who filled her heart with love – Jay Anthony and Cayson Felcman; Daniel, Henry, Liam, and Thomas Felcman; Jackson and Parker Hobbs; Slevin Vasquez. Memaw was also dearly loved by her two second daughters Karen Glaspy and Diane O’Neil.

She was a devout member of St. John’s Catholic

Church.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the local 3-card poker table or the American Cancer Society on behalf of Ms. Mary Ann Jay Felcman.
