Ramona Joan Langley

Ramona Joan Langley, 88 passed away March 17, 2022. She was born May 27, 1933, in Big Spring, Howard County, Texas to William Jefferson Sneed and Frances Marie Skalicky. She attended Big Spring High School, Howard County College, and El Centro College.

Mona was employed by Dr. Martin Kaplan at Oak Cliff Medical and Surgical Clinic and Drs. Bedford, Bedford, Jr., and David Shelmire in Dallas. Mona retired in 1995.

After her retirement, she stayed busy with many hobbies and activities. Her passion was doing yardwork and growing flowers, especially roses – her favorites. Mona received pleasure crocheting name doilies for family and friends. She also took communion to the homebound for many years.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Kenneth Langley, sister Polly Settles, and brother William (Bill) Sneed, both from Big Spring. Three infants: David Carl, Julia Mary, and Jerre Sue Parks, also of Big Spring. Son-in-law Marvin David McPherson of Boaz, Alabama, granddaughter Heather Wright Botkin of Bastrop, Texas, and infant twin grandsons David and Don Wright of Palestine, Texas.

She is survived by four daughters, Laura and Richard Anthony Smith of Marion, Texas; Donna McPherson of Fredericksburg, Texas; Jan and Charlie Bandy of Forney, Texas; and Jean Ann and Steve Wolf of Vincent, Texas. Also many special friends including Vic Havel, Tony Roybal, LaDonna and Jack Gutierrez, Josephine and Dennis Tencza and Brenda and Jim Evans.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. with Rosary at 4 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Mass of the Christian burial was held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis.

Eternal rest will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis and was under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
