Stanley Dubec

Stanley Dubec was a week shy of celebrating his 80th birthday when his Savior called him Home. Growing up on a cotton farm in Needville, Texas, his strong Catholic upbringing provided great faith. After a brief stint with the Army National Guard, Stanley developed a passion for construction. His work ethics and skills not only served him well as an equipment operator and craftsman, but also provided his sons with life examples and traits. A hardworking, honest, but stubborn man, his need to get the job done right was very important to him, whether it was on his tractor, in his yard, or building things for his grandkids. An excellent wood worker, he poured his heart into building shelves, toy boxes, tables, and playhouses.

Stanley enjoyed collecting the antique items that were unearthed during his excavations. In his early years, he owned and operated a site contracting company and finished his career working 20 years for Texcon General Contractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hattie Dubec; siblings, Johnny Dubec, Charlie Dubec, and Mary Anne Stewart; and grandson, Collin Finley.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jill; his children, Rick Dubec and wife, Summer, and Lancer Finley and wife, Christina; grandchildren, Whitney Dubec, Blake Dubec, Hailey Dubec, Destinie Ordway and husband Joshua, Dominique Hernandez and husband Erik, Alec Finley, Korbin Finely, and Integra Finley; great-grandchildren, Jonah Ordway, Amelia Ordway, Christopher (CJ) Finley, James Hernandez, Conner Hernandez, and Edalyn Hernandez; and siblings, Anne Meredith and Beatrice Machovsky.

The family would like to acknowledge Acara Hospice for their incredible care.

A Family Visitation took place from 2-3 pm with a Memorial Service to immediately following on Wednesday, April 26th at Zion Church of Kurten.
