Terry Lynn Livingston

Terry Lynn Livingston, age 63, passed peacefully into the arms of God on March 20, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Terry was born October 11, 1959 in Ennis, Texas. The youngest child of Woody and Billie Livingston, Terry was adored by his older siblings who doted on him and did their best to protect their baby brother. As a young boy, Terry had a sweet disposition, a sharp mind and a love for sports, especially baseball. Like many kids of that era, he collected baseball cards and memorized baseball statistics with amazing accuracy.

He enjoyed many summers with his family and special cousins Larry and Donnie swimming, boating, and fishing at Lake Murray. He was a fine athlete and played baseball from Little League through high school. Terry was ambitious as a child and like many young boys of the ‘50s, he threw a paper route and mowed yards to earn extra money.

Terry graduated with the Ardmore High School class of 1977 and attended the University of Oklahoma. After a brief stint working at Uniroyal, the lure of the oil patch led him to Houston where he worked as a roughneck and mud logger. Later he earned his license as a journeyman electrician. He received a degree from Houston Community College as a physical therapy assistant, a career he enjoyed and at which he excelled.

Terry was preceded in death by his father Woody Livingston, sister Pat Livingston, and brother Jerry Livingston.

He is survived by his greatest accomplishment and only child, daughter Sarah Overton of Norwalk, Iowa, her husband Andrew, and grandson Emerson; mother Billie Livingston of Ardmore, OK; sister Betty Parkerson and her husband Buddy of Ardmore, OK; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Terry had been baptized and accepted Jesus as his saviour, and though his health struggles may have won the earthly battle, his family is comforted knowing that he has been reunited with Woody, Pat, and Jerry, finally finding the peace in Heaven that eluded him in life.

A graveside service will be held at Red Oak Cemetery, Red Oak, TX on Saturday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Boze, Mitchell, McKibbin Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at bozemitchellmckibbin.com.
