Zeda Flores

Zeda Flores was born on September 1, 1973 to Dorothy and Benny Wigington in Pasadena, Texas. She departed on April 20, 2022. Zeda was married to Reuben Flores for 14 years. She had three children from a previous marriage; Rueben had two. Combined, they lovingly brought up five children together. The couple enjoyed 14 grandchildren. Zeda was a strong and stubborn woman who cared for her loved ones deeply. Often she was the first person anyone would call when they needed an open ear and a caring heart. She was also funny, fiery, and fearless. Though she was a wild child, she made friends easily.

Zeda’s most important job was that of “Nana”, and she assumed the role full time. She was the absolute best Nana EVER. She loved taking caring of her grandbabies more than anything. Family was always important to Zeda; she kept up with everyone and made sure to tell her loved ones that she loves them before she hung up the phone. Holidays were especially special as she enjoyed making Tamales for the entire family.

She is preceded in death by her father Benny Ray Wigington; sister Sherry Ann; brother Kenneth; her Pee-Paw; grandma Elly Joy; uncle Ronnie Dale; cousin Marie; uncle Marvin; nephew Gary Dewayne; aunt Maudedeen; nephew Little Emmett; Paw Paw Charles; cousin Judy Ann; uncle Leon; uncle Edward; cousin Mark Harris; aunt Mary Ann; cousin Dorothy Lee; grandmother Zeda Belle; uncle Pug and uncle John Henry.

Zeda is survived by her husband Reuben Flores; parents Dorothy and Corky Burrus; Dad Bobby Watkins; brothers Keith Allen and family; Robbie Watkins and family; Jonathan and Mary Burrus and family; Emmett Bledsoe; sister Cindy and Marty Jackson; daughters Ashley Watkins; Brittany Flores and son in law Joe Ledesma; sons Billy Gajdica and daughter in law Heather McGinn; Reuben and Ines Flores; Terry Gajdica; grandchildren Donna Reyna, Jacob Reyna, Izabella Wigington, Brantley Palmer, Allison Palmer, Israel Ledesma, Karly Ledesma, Noah Ledesma, Moses Ledesma, Addy Perez, Billy Gajdica, Aleia Flores, Zoey Flores, Reuben Flores; nieces and nephews Amanda, Brandon Threadgill’s family, Cynthia Floyd and family, Tabitha Sims and Family, Shawn Vaughn, Jeffery Massengale, Chris, Kendall Bledsoe, Kenneth Bledsoe, Sherry, Arieana, Raven, Arian Watkins, Jennifer Luna, Melody Guzman, Dorothy, Harley and Tina Burrus.
