A scent of misconduct

Repeat something enough times and the hearer’s beliefs can be overpowered. Research by two Philadelphia universities in 2015, Villanova and Temple, found that familiarity can sway rationality. They discovered that participants who knew the correct answer to start with were persuaded to believe otherwise by the repetition of a falsehood.
