Building on what is the best season in the history of the volleyball program at Avalon High School, which started in 2003, the Lady Eagles rolled to a first round 3-0 sweep of Milford and then crushed No. 17 Oglesby in the next round, 3-0.
Ranked No. 10 in Class 1A, Avalon lifted their overall record to 30-6, but they will meet stiff resistance this weekend against No. 1 Blum (36-7).
