Heath Vernor
Ennis junior discus thrower Heath Vernor earned the District 14-5A championship in Joshua with a 163’3 throw this past week. He advances to the Area Round this coming week in Mesquite.
Vernor bested Midlothian’s Gabriel Songer, whose throw of 156’4 took second place.
A member of the Ennis Track & Field team, his throwing coach is Hank Hollywood.
