Avalon High School sophomore Jake Ozymy finished in third place in the 800 meters at the State Track & Field Championships last weekend in Austin. It was his second straight year to qualify for the University Interscholastic League Class 1A final.
The events were held at the 20,000 seat Mike A. Myers Stadium on the UT campus. It was 96 and humid.
