Heath Vernor, a multi-sport, senior athlete at Ennis, has committed to the University of Miami (Fla) on a Track & Field scholarship.
Vernor, 6’4, 215, will be headed to Coral Gables next fall where he is listed as a thrower. He will compete by giving flight to the discus (2 kilograms, or 4.4 lbs), the hammer throw and the shot put, the latter two weighing 16 pounds.
