I realize that my thoughts are not that important, but what God has to say contains the power to change what man cannot change. May we choose faith over fear and allow our hope to be larger than our doubt! Did you notice that I said we have the choice to decide which side we are going to believe. Yes, but brother Billy how can I choose life? Well, Deuteronomy chapter thirty is an amazing place to start when trying to comprehend God’s plans for our lives. Verse 19, “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”

After the boxes and wrapping paper from Christmas Past had been discarded or recycled, I assumed a horizontal position on my favorite sofa, pulled the blanket up to my chin and grabbed the clicker, listening to all the television banter about the year coming to a close.

The New Year is when we take stock.

To the surprise of few, the trending policies that have been embraced in larger cities, has done just the opposite of those inclined to minimizing the presence of police.

The New Year is here and I’m excited to see what 2022 has for us! My hope is this coming year will be a season of abundance not just with material prosperity and success, but of love, health, and spiritual awareness.

Christmas in Ennis never looked so bright, and that has little to with the LED lights that outline the downtown buildings or that form the thirtyfoot, illustrated trees at North Plaza.

I’ve met many appreciative men. They open a Christmas gift and exclaim, “Well, that’s so nice,” or “Look at this…I’ve been wanting one of these. Thank you so much.”
