Copeland’s rich soil expects a big harvest

Nowhere in Ennis are more youth involved in athletics than at Bluebonnet Park every spring and summer. While the Parks & Recreation Department does plenty to keep up the fields and facilities, it is the leadership of Trevor Wilhoite and a team of adults who comprise the Ennis Baseball and Ennis Softball associations who manage the age-level leagues who get the credit.

A handful of businesses, organizations and sponsors, including the George Washington Carver Alumni Association, presented an inspiring Black History Program as a fundraiser on Sunday, February 16.

Joe Newman has been hired to serve as interim director of the Ennis Economic Development Corporation.
