City Commissioners spent the early stages of Tuesday’s June 18 meeting at City Hall discussing three much-needed items related to infrastructure needs.

In-fighting within the Texas House GOP Caucus led lawmakers to censure four Republicans for campaigning against fellow Republican caucus members. Friendly-fire has become commonplace in today’s politics, and those censured are usually own up to being branded as though they are proud.

Reduction in violent crime leads to new contract

Angie Wade, the city secretary, told The Ennis News the City Commission will order the election at their next meeting, Tuesday, June 18. They are held on the first and third Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 107 N. Sherman. The public is welcome.
