Graduation season is a festive time of year. Each year, graduating students close a notable chapter in their lives. But as one chapter closes, another opens.

Ennis Retired School Personnel presented three $500 scholarships at the EHS Awards Assembly on May 6, 2024.

During last week’s annual Ennis High School awards ceremony, the Rotary Club recognized four seniors with $1,000 Kevin Culpepper Scholarships. Receiving them were Dania Garcia, Tania Alvarado, Madysen Williams, and Anthony Molina (pictured above).

Annual college scholarships to high school graduates will again be awarded by the St. John Alumni Association to the Class of 2024 or to adults who have been out of high school for at least one year. The benevolent program began in 2009, with 10-to-18 scholarships a year given, usually in the range of $1,000.00 each.

Ceremony is May 14, 6 p.m.
