UTSA QB ranks No. 2 all-time as Ennis passer

Victoria Hernandez, a former standout at Ennis HS, was named a First Team All-American for Lancaster’s Cedar Valley College, of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III. She is a 5’4 sophomore forward.

Wide Receiver Gracen Harris, who verbally committed to Oklahoma on May 1, 2023, is no longer a future Sooner football and baseball player. According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, the two-sport star, decommitted from OU but still intends to sign somewhere as the Early Signing Period began last Wednesday.

Palmer (9-3) came up well-short in a 48-7 Class 3A area-round defeat at the hands of No. 8 ranked Winnsboro (9-1). The Raiders scored on their first two possessions to set the pace, and Palmer failed to capitalize on several opportunities in what became a very misleading score.

Cheer up, Lions fans. While the varsity football hasn’t had a winning season in four years, 2021, the 3rd & 4th grade Lions won the area flag football championship in Waxahachie last week. With an all-Ennis team filled with only third graders, they won three playoff games, the last two as underdogs to fourth grade opponents, to finish 8-1.
