Helen Elizabeth Dodson Dent departed this earthly life to see her Lord and Savior on July 4, 2020, in Mansfield, Texas, at the age of 84. She was born on June 11, 1936, in Alsdorf, Texas, to James Odell and Gladys Naomi (McCaleb) Dodson, the third of seven children. On March 7, 1953, Helen married the love of her life, Forrest “Weldon” Dent. They made their home in Ennis, Texas. Into this union were born two children, Terry Lynn and Joe Lee. They were together for 33 years before his sudden death on October 1, 1986, at age 51. Helen attended Ennis High School and Navarro College.
