The Ennis News is proud to announce the winners of our January Coloring Contest, sponsored by The Ennis News.

Brookdale Senior Living Center on 2500 Yorkstown Dr. in Ennis, held their First Annual Chili Cookoff on January 31 in celebration of the upcoming Super Bowl. Nine competitors from healthcare organizations and Ennis High School students squared off for prizes in the overall chili competition, the meatiest chili designation and the hottest chili category. There were about 75 attendees to the chili cookoff, and everyone was a judge. After each judge tasted the entrants’ chili, votes were cast and tabulated to determine the winners.

On Saturday, Feb. 8, the Ennis High UIL speech and academic team traveled to Canton High School for their last practice tournament of the season. With over 20 schools competing, EHS students walked away with 2nd place overall.

Gaming is a popular activity across the globe. Studies have shown that more than one billion people across the globe play some type of video game every day, and the number of gamers is growing every day.
