The recent passing of Douglas (Doug) Dickinson, has affected many. Known locally for his devotion to sharing with others the wildflowers on his land near Palmer, Dickinson embraced his fame, made greater by a story in The Ennis Daily News in 2007 that called him what some already knew him as – “The Bluebonnet Man.”

The guest speaker was Wedding Guy Rob, Rob Nelson, of Waxahachie, and son of NARFE chapter member, Ralph Nelson, who spoke about his career as a professional wedding officiant.
